Centrum Silver

From my good buddy Mike Willett:

Mike and I graduated from Morton High School in Cicero, Illinois in June 1958. There were about 5,000 students at Morton and 1,200 in our graduating class, one of the largest high schools in the United States. Juniors and seniors went to school in the morning, freshmen and sophomores in the afternoon. I liked the split-shift because it enabled me to work from 1-to-5 PM at the nearby Western Electric plant.

In September 1958, Morton West opened in Berwyn, just west of Cicero. Morton West and Morton East (in Cicero) each had about 2,500 students. Mike and I lived in Berwyn about two blocks from each other.

Mike and some of my other classmates are organizing our 50th Reunion celebration later this year.
